PLUMBING ANSWERING SERVICE

Answer the call before the customer calls the next plumber.

NeverMiss is a 24/7 plumbing answering service designed to turn an incoming call into an eligible, qualified and actionable job request.

Clear definitionNeverMiss answers incoming calls for plumbing companies, gathers job details, identifies configured emergency signals, checks service-area eligibility and records the next action for the business.

Built around a dispatcher’s next decision

A generic message—“John called about plumbing”—still leaves the office doing the first five minutes of the call again. A useful answering service should tell the dispatcher what happened, where the work is, how urgent it appears and what the caller expects next.

NeverMiss uses a structured plumbing intake rather than a universal script. A water-heater leak can ask whether water is actively spreading. A drain call can distinguish one slow fixture from a broader backup. A quote request can be checked against the services the company actually performs. The receptionist still avoids diagnosing the failure or telling the caller how to repair it.

What happens on an incoming call

  1. Use your greeting. The caller hears the business name and approved opening, not a marketplace brand.
  2. Identify the reason. The receptionist classifies the call as a service request, urgent issue, quote, existing-customer matter, vendor, spam or another configured intent.
  3. Gather the minimum facts. Name, phone, address, ZIP, problem, urgency and preferred time are collected only when relevant.
  4. Check eligibility. ZIP and service information are compared with the company’s approved coverage and service list.
  5. Take the configured action. The call can be transferred, captured as an urgent lead, recorded as a routine appointment request or marked out of area.
  6. Send a usable summary. The business sees structured facts, call outcome and actions above the transcript.

After-hours does not mean uncontrolled

The receptionist follows the business’s actual hours and after-hours policy. A routine quote at 11 PM does not need the same route as an active leak at 6 PM. Each tenant can control which conditions attempt a transfer, which destination rings, how long it rings and what happens if nobody answers.

The first pilot mode answers the connected number directly. Missed Call Rescue— where the existing phone system rings first and forwards only on no-answer, busy or after-hours—is released separately after carrier forwarding and loop prevention are proven.

What the service does not do

  • It does not claim to be a licensed plumber.
  • It does not provide repair instructions.
  • It does not confirm an appointment until a real calendar integration confirms it.
  • It does not make an out-of-area customer eligible.
  • It does not hide usage. Included minutes, overage and caps remain visible.

OPERATIONAL FAQ

Before you change your phone flow.

Can we keep our current business number?

The architecture supports connecting or forwarding an existing number, but the exact setup depends on your carrier. Number porting or forwarding is tested with each pilot before traffic moves.

What information does the receptionist collect?

Your approved workflow can collect the caller’s name, phone, address, ZIP, problem, urgency and preferred appointment window. It asks only what the call requires.

How are emergencies handled?

The receptionist applies platform safety boundaries and your configured escalation rules. It can attempt an urgent transfer, take a priority message or use approved immediate-danger wording.

Is every plumbing call transferred?

No. Transfer rules can be limited by urgency, business hours, service area and destination availability. A failed transfer falls back to a clear message and notification.
